Paleo Dinners On The Go

Paleo Dinners On The Go

Paleo Dinners On The Go It’s that terrible, wonderful time of year. The kids are back in school, the lazy days of Summer are behind us, and we have overscheduled ourselves down to the nanosecond. Truthfully, I always said I would never be a “soccer mom” (not that there is anything wrong with soccer, or…

Paleo Fried Chicken

August 31, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 18 Comments

Paleo Fried Chicken How can it only be Wednesday and this week is already insane and getting away from me. My mom has been here visiting for a few weeks now and somehow it is taking all three adults (hubs, mom, and me) to pull it all together. My to-do list keeps growing and though…

Instant Pot Chicken Yum Yum

August 26, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 96 Comments

Chicken Yum Yum You know how to tell when my brain is so full that I can’t possibly generate anything sensible? It’s when I come up with names like Chicken Yum Yum. That’s how. Y’all, seriously. It’s bad. And by bad I mean GOOD! But also bad, because when I get in my work zone…

The Skinny on Probiotics

The Skinny on Probiotics

I want this post to be super brief but informative enough to help navigate the complex world of gut flora. Let’s talk about the skinny on probiotics and gut health. Most of us by the time we are adults have taken many rounds of antibiotics. And if your youth was anything like mine, pediatricians prescribing…

Paleo Biscuits + Sausage Gravy

June 27, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 7 Comments

Paleo Biscuits + Sausage Gravy When I wrote Down South Paleo, cassava flour was nowhere to be seen. So I used different blends of flours including potato starch, water chestnut flour, almond flour, and tapioca starch. I also used the whole yuca root which is not only delicious but an adventure to learn as some…

Safer Mascara Showdown

June 26, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 19 Comments

Safer Mascara Showdown Y’all know if my mascara game is off, I call a time out. And since I’ve made the transition over to Safer Skincare + Better Beauty, I’ve been really spending a lot of time “auditioning” cosmetics. You’ve seen my posts so you know, I am taking this job very seriously! For posterity…

Healthier Skin From Within

May 29, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 12 Comments

Healthier Skin From Within I have quite a bit of feedback lately with lots of enthusiastic “yeas” regarding safer skincare and better beauty. I know sometimes it is one of the hardest things to change, even more than food because people are very loyal to their skin regimes. I get it, people, I get it….

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
