Favorite Detox Drink

June 1, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 14 Comments

Favorite Detox Drink Just sayin’, there are those times when you gotta walk away from the yums and put down a glass (or 5) of this stuff.  This is my absolute favorite detox drink for when I have overindulged, eaten something I shouldn’t have, or just feel the basic desire to clean house.  The electrolyte…

Paleo Calzones

Every once in awhile there is that food. The one that haunts you and makes you feel like life will never be quite the same without it.  Ya, kind of like that borderline personality ex that strings you along…but I digress. This is about CALZONES, Paleo CALZONES, not psychos. Calzones have that magical way about…

Virgin Mojito

May 2, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 9 Comments

Truth be told, I am not a big drinker. Between illness and just wanting to feel sharp and energized, I discovered that libations and I are not BFFs. In the land of Paleo, some indulge and some don’t – there is no steadfast rule. But since my personal Paleo county is dry, I thought it…

Maple Sunflower Seed Butter

April 28, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 7 Comments

Sunflower Seed Butter (or sometimes known as sunbutter) is a fabulous replacement for peanut or almond butter for those who cannot eat nuts.  I typically keep store bought on hand for an easy go-to snack, but homemade is extremely simple, more cost effective, and you can flavor it how you like. This recipe literally came…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
