Non-Toxic DIY Bug Repellant

May 29, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 7 Comments

Funny enough this is something I’ve been making at home far before I knew how to cook or blog. I’ve always hated the idea of spraying straight up poison onto my skin. And now of course that I am a mom, that hasn’t changed – in fact I’ve become even more obsessed about it, especially…

Eating Gluten-free in NYC

May 27, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 9 Comments

Eating Gluten-free in NYC I just got back from New York after a very exciting few days. I met Simone (Zenbelly) and we gave our 2 minute spiel at the Jewish Book Council which was equally as terrifying as it was incredible. We were very well received by hundreds of people, some of whom approached…

Safer Skincare Better Beauty

May 22, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 22 Comments

Safer Skincare Better Beauty Mascara is my life. Ok, mascara and eyeliner. Add coffee to that. Yes, I love my husband and kids too,of course! But I can quite honestly say that before leaving to go to the hospital to deliver each of my 3 kids, I feverishly applied an extra coat of mascara, lined…

Advocating HEALTH

May 18, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 7 Comments

A few years ago, at my worst, I was crying in a doctor’s office begging for help. This, mind you, was before I received over 20 different diagnoses including Lyme, leaky gut, autoimmune disease, and more. The doctor I saw that day told me something I would never forget:   “You just need a gym…

Paleo Family Toolkit

May 8, 2016 by predominantlypaleo Leave a Comment

You probably know by now that I am all about making life easier, especially with 3 kids and a military husband. Like most families, we are crazy busy more than I’d like to admit and it’s really important to me to feed my kids healthy meals and also for them to experience eating as a…

All About Inositol And Why You May Need It!

Disclaimer: I NEVER promote or encourage a product I have not personally tried myself and had success with. It is important to me to speak from a place of personal experience in order to be authentic. A few months ago I found myself under an enormous amount of stress that I was having difficulty managing….

Paleo Au Gratin Sweet Potatoes

PALEO AU GRATIN SWEET POTATOES

Ok fine, you caught me. I’m on a cheesy kick. And by cheesy, I don’t mean my bad jokes, I mean my love affair with creating dairy free cheese recipes in order to fill the void. I guess for me, cheese is something that I just can’t emotionally get over. But I also feel like…

Homemade Cassava Flour

I am not sure where the name “Yuca Queen” came from, how exactly it was bestowed on me, or why I deserve such a crown, but…. It’s no lie that I LOVE yuca! I love its versatility, I love that it is ultimately easy to digest by the majority, and that it is suitable for…

First Do No Harm….To Thyself.

March 21, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 11 Comments

Have you noticed that everywhere you turn these days there is a “motivational” or “inspirational” meme about how you have to seize the moment, push hard, strive bigger, drive yourself with MORE passion, more work, more effort, less fear? Well I noticed. And I nodded my head in agreement. YES!!! I thought. I am creating my…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
