FLU SEASON SUPPLEMENTS

January 10, 2017 by predominantlypaleo 10 Comments

FLU SEASON SUPPLEMENTS Many of us can agree that there are a good number of reasons that communicable disease might flare in the Winter months. We tend to be more stressed, less nourished, and certainly void of immune-supportive vitamins like Vitamin D, which we get during the Summer months. Not to mention many of us…

INSTANT POT TAPIOCA PUDDING

January 6, 2017 by predominantlypaleo 57 Comments

INSTANT POT TAPIOCA PUDDING (from PALEO COOKING WITH YOUR INSTANT POT COOKBOOK) Growing up I used to be obsessed with Swiss Miss tapioca pudding cups when I went to visit my grandmother’s house. Creamy and sweet, I had no idea how much junk was hidden in there. And that was ahem, many years ago when…

Paleo Thanksgiving – Delivered!

Paleo Thanksgiving - Delivered!

When I heard about Paleo on the Go’s Thanksgiving Feast, I got REALLY curious about trying it. And then I had a few other thoughts: How could it possibly taste homemade? Would people really want Thanksgiving delivered? How would I photograph this feast (and make it look pretty) if it was good enough to share? Granted,…

Sweet Potato Kugel and Rosh Hashanah Roundup

Sweet Potato Kugel and Rosh Hashanah Round Up

Sweet Potato Kugel and Rosh Hashanah Roundup When Zenbelly and I decided to write The New Yiddish Kitchen, our inspiration was in part because of the shortage of Jewish holiday recipes available to those who need to eat with restrictions. Making it through Hanukkah without donuts, or breaking the fast without bagels, or breaking bread…

Paleo Dinners On The Go

Paleo Dinners On The Go

Paleo Dinners On The Go It’s that terrible, wonderful time of year. The kids are back in school, the lazy days of Summer are behind us, and we have overscheduled ourselves down to the nanosecond. Truthfully, I always said I would never be a “soccer mom” (not that there is anything wrong with soccer, or…

Asian Paleo Pan Fried Fish

May 31, 2016 by predominantlypaleo 7 Comments

Been a busy few weeks around these parts. After 5 days in NYC we returned just in time for our impromptu Memorial Day cookout. Needless to say cookouts don’t necessarily take much ingenuity so I spent my time making the yard look extra pretty by decorating with pops of color. I know, can you believe…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
