February 19, 2015 by predominantlypaleo 5 Comments

When Paleo Parents asks you if you want to contribute to a Cheesecake Factory Copycat Roundup, you don’t walk you run….to the KITCHEN!!! Awhile back I asked you lovelies what your favorite Cheesecake Factory dishes were and there were literally so many there was no way to even tally a vote. I contemplated doing the…

Paleo Mac N Cheese

January 24, 2015 by predominantlypaleo 16 Comments

When I asked the question on Facebook today, “What food do you wish was Paleo?” I got quite a few “Mac N Cheese” responses.  Honestly I didn’t plan on experimenting in the kitchen today because I woke up feeling yucky – and I have been trying to tell myself to chiiiiiiilll a little bit more….

Paleo PITA Bread {AIP}

January 14, 2015 by predominantlypaleo 74 Comments

You might not believe this but I do not in fact live off paleo breads, pastas, and straight up carbs. Well, today I may have taste-tested myself into carb bliss. But so you know, I am driven to write these sorts of recipes, not so they can replace nutrient based foods, but so that deprivation…

Paleo Parmesan Topping {Vegan}

December 27, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 5 Comments

When I was pregnant, there was a time when I literally could have eaten a meatball sub for EVERY meal.  I’m not sure if it was the meatballs themselves, the garlic, the marinara sauce, or just the PARMESAN alone! Now clearly this is a meal of the past.  There is basically NOWHERE I can find…

Grain Free “Sugar” Cookies {Egg + Nut Free}

December 3, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 25 Comments

The kids and I have always enjoyed making cookies together – from back in the days of store bought “slice n bake” to gluten free mixes to to homemade grain free.  In the time I have been eating predominantly paleo, I have had my share of almond flour based cookies.  And I will say this,…

5 Tips to Surviving the Holidays Grain, Dairy, + Refined Sugar Free

December 2, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 5 Comments

If you’re anything like me, your enthusiasm for the holidays is followed by that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you think about all the temptations that lie ahead.  It seems from the moment Halloween rolls around, it is nothing but sweets, treats, and grain-filled EVERYTHING until after the new year strikes! When I…

Wintermint Coffee Creamer

December 1, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 4 Comments

And just like that, we’ve transitioned from pumpkin to mint! It happens every year as the “popular coffee joints” bring back their seasonal festive bevs and matching seasonally appropriate colored paper cups.  While I myself prefer to drink my own blend of “I know what’s in my cup” coffee, I do appreciate the seasonal flare…

Cranberry Sauce TWO Ways

November 11, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 10 Comments

When I asked y’all the other day if you grew up eating jellied or whole berry cranberry sauce, I was surprised to see it just about split down the middle.  I personally grew up eating the jellied stuff. Right outta the can.  I am just fine admitting this because honestly, I thought it tasted pretty…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
