Garlic Butter Sweet Potato Noodles

January 12, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 7 Comments

I can live without noodles, I really can.  Even the littles can live without noodles. But no denying, noodles are nice! This dish satisfies the need for noodles, veggies, main course, side dish, you name it. It’s a feel good meal you can make as is or even top with my crockpot spaghetti sauce for a hearty…

July 13, 2013 by predominantlypaleo 1 Comment

Be excited, be very excited – grain free tempura is here! This recipe reminds me of two tasty childhood memories. First I am a huge fan of tempura shrimp and veggies at hibachi steak houses. I haven’t been able to eat them in years but omg the deliciousness is out of control. I love everything…

‘Lala’ Truffles

June 27, 2013 by predominantlypaleo 5 Comments

‘Lala’ Truffles These are a combination between Lara bars, truffles, girl scout samoa cookies, and the best healthy food you ever ate! Thanks to my mom, the girl scouts, and the price of Lara bars for the inspiration. My kids were literally fighting over them as quickly as i could roll them and the batch…

haricots vert (aka family’s favorite green beans)

May 29, 2013 by predominantlypaleo 5 Comments

i used to buy one bag of these skinny green beans when i went to the store and inevitably ran out every time i made them.  they are good enough to make a two-year-old climb across the table to steal them off my plate…true story. so i started buying TWO batches in order to accommodate…

Naturally “Not-tella” (Homemade Chocolate Hazelnut Spread)

May 29, 2013 by predominantlypaleo 2 Comments

We all love Nutella, let’s admit! But when the first ingredient is sugar and the last is vanillin (artificial vanilla flavor derived from processed wood pulp), it’s not exactly health food.  I tried convincing myself it just had a few ingredients but really, I was a liar. To myself. And as much as my kids…

Paleo Blueberry Balsamic Vinaigrette

February 15, 2013 by predominantlypaleo 5 Comments

Paleo Blueberry Balsamic Vinaigrette It seems every salad dressing I pick up either has a boatload of chemicals, corn syrup, sugar, or some other unpronounceable ingredient.  I wanted to make something I  could have on hand that I would feel better about eating when I smother my salads in it. Not gonna lie, I am…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
