Everyday Grain-Free Baking: Southern Style Biscuits

January 30, 2015 by predominantlypaleo 5 Comments

For me, baking can be really therapeutic. I love watching a bowl full of nothing come together into a plate of warm brownies or cookies or muffins.  I love how the smells fill my kitchen and make my house feel more like a home. And I love how happy it makes my kids to have…

PALEO CHICKEN ENCHILADAS

January 30, 2015 by predominantlypaleo 22 Comments

Surely you know by now that I love all things Tex-Mex, right?! I mean if I could hook up an IV of chips and queso I would. Throw some tacos in for good measure too, why not. Oh yeah, except that whole grain and dairy thing.  Such a letdown! Well, in Down South Paleo, I have…

Kitchen Stash Hash {Paleo}

January 27, 2015 by predominantlypaleo 6 Comments

Holy Wow! This week is intense. I will spare you the details because I am not sure the blog or my brain has the bandwidth to even deal with them. Between book writing and editing though, my family is lucky to have meals this week at all, much less those made with love! I’m kidding…

WHY I QUIT DAIRY + CAN’T EVER GO BACK!

January 26, 2015 by predominantlypaleo 50 Comments

I come from a dairy loving family to say the least. We followed “doctor’s orders” and had a glass of milk on the dinner table every night growing up.  To this day my dad still drinks at least a glass a night of skim milk because “it’s the best choice.” It’s not even an argument…

YIDDISH KITCHEN

December 17, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 16 Comments

  Oy Vey!!! What a week! In just under 7 days I have submitted my manuscript for Down South Paleo, celebrated my birthday, and am launching Yiddish Kitchen!! Yiddish Kitchen is a labor of love born from complete desperation. Alright, that’s a little dramatic. But when we looked around for grain free Jewish recipes for…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
