Raspberry Rose Gummies

Today I am fortunate enough to have Nazanin from Cinnamon Eats share one of her many inventive recipes with us! I met Naz only a few months ago and yet it seems I have known her for much longer! She has a beautiful blog and offers many Paleo inspired recipes, many with a Persian twist. Take it away…

Paleo Grain Free Funnel Cake

Paleo Grain Free Funnelcake

If you are anything like me, you grew up going to the County Fair, the State Fair, the Rodeo, or some other carnival-esque type event where eating ridiculous food was the norm. Whether you craved the corn dogs, lemonade, fried Snickers bar or some other insanely unhealthy “snack”, one thing was for sure – we…

Yuca Cake

After finishing up the Ice Cream Book written with The Real Food Guide, I have been focusing more on savory foods versus treats. But to be honest, there has been an idea brewing for quite some time and I finally had to give it a go. Most of my yuca recipes I try to keep…

5 Ingredient Mexican “Chocolatey” Pudding {AIP/VEGAN}

Mexican "Chocolatey" Pudding

Truth be told, I needed a really simple recipe today. Somehow I managed to throw my back out at the pool today and while I was DYING to escape into the kitchen and make something ornate and involved, I can barely stand. NOT the way I wanted to spend today. But alas, I started thinking…

Chocolate Praline Crunch Ice Cream

Chocolate Praline Crunch Ice Cream

So writing ice cream recipes while practicing the Whole 30 may seem like a really great idea. Sike. I know, not using my noodle, but hey, duty calls. When the sun’s rays are blazin’ the people want ice cream. Sooooo, I give the people ice cream. It’s the right thing to do. This one is…

Grain-Free Cherry Cobbler {Paleo/Vegan}

Grain-Free Cherry Cobbler {Paleo/Vegan}

My sweet neighbor across the street has been in her house for over 40 years. In that time, she has planted an abundance of food-bearing plants, yielding delicious grapes, pears, plums, tomatoes, zucchini, herbs, and CHERRIES! I love visiting her backyard and picking produce off the plant from which it grew, so when I saw…

Paleo Caramel Apple Tartlets

Caramel Apple Tartlet

OK, can I be honest for a minute? I have never been a huge fruity dessert person. I mean, I can do fruit, fruit is good…ALONE. But dessert = chocolate. It just is, right?? Maybe it is genetic, I dunno. My mom taught me that chocolate was what dessert is made of, so that’s where…

Mom’s Favorite Coffee – ICED Edition {Vegan/Paleo}

May 17, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 5 Comments

It’s warming up in a big way and iced coffee is becoming a “thing” quickly. I will always enjoy my one cup of Mom’s Favorite Coffee each morning, even when warm turns into sweltering, but the afternoons are a different story.  I love spending time outside with my kids on the summer days but the…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
