A non-savory quiche that's also not sweet enough to be called a pie? That's my new Gluten Free French Toast Quiche with added protein! The minute I go calling this a quiche, there will be an instant rumble in the air, like a brewing storm, until finally a few brave souls erupt with "Everyone knows quiche is savory." And so it will begin as it has a thousand times before. People on the … [Read More...]

Grain Free Chicken Nuggets

Grain Free Chicken Nuggets Let’s face it, chicken nuggets are a favored food. Especially among the young’ns.  And most times, unfortunately, said “food” is not really food – not in the sense that we would like! I always said, when I started this blog, that I wanted to make sure I never felt deprived, just…

crispy, chewy, grain free pizza crust

if there is one thing clean eaters need, it’s a pizza crust that is, well, edible! there are a lot made with almond flour or other nut flours, but truthfully they do not really have the feel of pizza dough.  this one passed the family taste test (even the picky husband)! it is crispy on…

Chocolate Spinach Cake

Very few people truly get enough plant based foods on any given day.  It is something we all strive for but with busy schedules and other circumstances, most of us fall short.  This chocolate spinach cake has TWO cups of fresh organic baby spinach leaves baked right into the moist chocolatey goodness.  I’d say that…

Nut Free Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nut Free Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies  This recipe is something i have been toying with for awhile…many ‘paleo’ baked goods use nut flours, which are delicious and easy to use, BUT leave out an entire population of people who cannot consume nuts (or choose not to). These cookies use a few different ingredients (some less…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
