Paleo Asian Fried Rice (Non-Cauli)

So the other night when zucchini rice and I fell in love, I started thinking about all the possibilities and got giddy. Nobody was gonna SQUASH my plans. Get it?! SQUASH! Alright, anyway, I was daydreaming away and before I knew it a new day arrived and I had a plan! Paleo Asian Fried Rice…

Paleo Rice (Non-Cauli)

Paleo Rice (Non-Cauli)

So I have a confession to make… I am not a huge cauliflower rice fan.  I mean don’t get me wrong, I’ll eat it steamed or sauteed or roasted, but I never fell in love with grain free cauli rice. I feel like I might be written a citation for not being a fan of…

Caramelized Onion Buffalo Meatballs

Caramelized Onion Buffalo Meatballs

So if you never have another meal again and have to pick just one, this is it. Dramatic much? Perhaps, but these are so good. SOOOO good. The kick of the buffalo sauce, the sweet of the onions, and the cool, creamy ranch. Can’t really deal. So when you find something that is especially satisfying,…

Today I am fortunate enough to have Nazanin from Cinnamon Eats share one of her many inventive recipes with us! I met Naz only a few months ago and yet it seems I have known her for much longer! She has a beautiful blog and offers many Paleo inspired recipes, many with a Persian twist. Take it away…

Paleo Waffles (Pa-ffles)

Nut-Free Paleo Waffles {AIP VERSION}

Here I go mixing things up again. Apparently I like to create hybrids like my Paleo-Monte-Reuben-Cristo Sammiches where several concepts get thrown into one. I am okay with this – variety is the spice of life, right?! So last night I started thinking about waffles, AIP friendly waffles to be exact. I tried one round and…

Paleo Grain Free Funnelcake

Paleo Grain Free Funnel Cake

If you are anything like me, you grew up going to the County Fair, the State Fair, the Rodeo, or some other carnival-esque type event where eating ridiculous food was the norm. Whether you craved the corn dogs, lemonade, fried Snickers bar or some other insanely unhealthy “snack”, one thing was for sure – we…

Yuca Cake

Yuca (Cassava) Cake

After finishing up the Ice Cream Book written with The Real Food Guide, I have been focusing more on savory foods versus treats. But to be honest, there has been an idea brewing for quite some time and I finally had to give it a go. Most of my yuca recipes I try to keep…

Trail Mix Tuna

Trail Mix Tuna Salad

Or you can call this the 5 minute miracle meal…it is that easy to toss together!. In fact, it is such staple in my house, I can barely call it a recipe. Take tonight for instance…we got home from a very spontaneous trip to Annapolis, followed by a fun seafood lunch in Old Town. After…

Mexican "Chocolatey" Pudding

5 Ingredient Mexican “Chocolatey” Pudding {AIP/VEGAN}

Truth be told, I needed a really simple recipe today. Somehow I managed to throw my back out at the pool today and while I was DYING to escape into the kitchen and make something ornate and involved, I can barely stand. NOT the way I wanted to spend today. But alas, I started thinking…

Paleo Monte-Reuben-Cristo Sammiches

Paleo Monte-Reuben-Cristo Sammiches

The hardest part of this little kitchen experiment today was coming up with a name! Crispy sandwichy thingy with the meat and kraut and saucy stuff just didn’t seem like it would do it justice, ya know? But the inspiration was a cross between the toasty monte cristo and the savory beefy reuben.  Both are clearly…

Pale-O's Cereal

Paleo-O’s Cereal

I hear a lot from people going grain free that they really miss cereal in the mornings for breakfast.  These days, there are several amazing grain free cereals out there, but many are nut based like my grain free yumola granola. So what happens when nut-sensitivities are in the house? Try telling a toddler that…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
