Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

Paleo Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

Last year I made this Pumpkin Spice “NOT-te” to satisfy the beast that comes out when the Fall season rolls around.  It turned out to be a tasty sub for the $6 favorite that is offered every year before the leaves even start to turn.  Today though I was thinking about a simple way to…

Bad Wolf Bakery Giveaway

In my early days of eating grain free, I thought my life would be void of so many of the delicious foods I had come to love over the years.  I’ve always had a weakness for chocolate chip cookies and brownies and other baked goods! I mean who can blame me really?! Anyway, I was…

Paleo Apple Kugel

Paleo Apple Kugel

Fall weather, like Spring weather, brings about a certain awakening for many of us. It is a reminder of football season, Thanksgiving, sweaters + Ugg Boots, and smoking chimneys. Fall is also the time when Rosh Hashanah is celebrated, the Jewish New Year. It is a time to start afresh and to bring blessings for…

flu season gummies

Flu Season Gummies

After back to school season kicks into gear and the leaves start to fall, another “season” creeps in and leaves little to celebrate.  There are a variety of ways in which people arm themselves against the winter germies – some natural, some medicinal.  My personal immune system, having had some pretty rough moments (er um…

Paleo Pumpkin Empanadas with Salted Caramel Drizzle

I have to be honest here… these paleo pumpkin empanadas with salted caramel drizzle are a little over the top, even for me.  But when my friend Joanne from Just Eat Real Food challenged me to make them, how in the world could I possibly say no??? I couldn’t. And with the crispness in the…

Yuca Dough FAQ

Who knew yuca could create such a stir?! This starchy tuber is just full of possibilities and why not? It’s starchy like a potato but yet can be magically transformed into a dough like delicacy.  Stuffed, baked, or fried, the options are endless! Yuca also comes with quite a few inquiries.  You can find my…

Sun Milk

Sun Milk

Nut allergies and sensitivities seem to be among one of the highest growing concerns in food sensitivities. I am constantly getting requests for nut-free alternatives, and when possible, I try to offer them. In the grain-free, dairy-free community, nuts are often substituted and for good reason. They are versatile and can make comparable baked goods…

Nut-Free Paleo Bread

Nut-Free Paleo Bread

Ahhh, the never-ending search for a great grain free bread…it is the quest that is both fun yet frustrating! If you had asked me two years ago if I’d be baking bread from scratch on a consistent basis, I’d have looked at you like you had four heads.  I was never a baker, or a…

Paleo Mummy Dogs (Top 8 Free)

So it’s not quite September, I get that.  It was also 90 degrees today, I get that too.  But when Joanne from Just Eat Real Food told me I needed to create an allergen friendly mummy dog like those seen floating around Pinterest and seasonal magazines, I knew I had to just go for it….

4-Step Teriyaki Turkey Meatballs

There is really not much to say about these except they are so freakin’ good I could have tripled the batch and they STILL would have all been eaten.  I borrowed this sauce from a zoodle dish I created awhile back and holy meatballs, this is a winner. In fact, I actually let each kid taste…

My Polyface Visit

For me to be speechless is almost unheard of really. I seem to have an opinion about everything and rarely take issue in voicing it. If I love it I show it, and if not, well, you’d know that too. Well a few months ago a group of bloggers posted a field trip opportunity to…

Paleo Tarts

Paleo Chocolate Tart (Nut + Egg Free)

I know it’s the middle of the 21 day sugar detox for me and NO I did not totally indulge, but I had this idea and had to run with it. Save the judgment friends! I already beat myself up for the two bites I tried. No I didn’t…Yes I did. (Not even). Anyway, I…

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
