GRAIN FREE HOLIDAY COOKIE SERIES

December 9, 2014 by predominantlypaleo 2 Comments

What a week! You might find this hard to believe but I do NOT typically make dessert every single day! Don’t get me wrong, I like to indulge but sheesh – FIVE different cookie varieties in a week is sorta out of control! But ’tis the holiday season and seeing YOUR enthusiasm really motivated me to do something fun.  So before we get back to bone broth, let’s do a week in review… First up we have these GRAIN FREE “SUGAR” COOKIES which are also Egg + Nut Free!!! They are simple to assemble and fun to decorate too! You can find the recipe HERE… Screen Shot 2014-12-03 at 2.27.34 PM Next up are these Adorable GRAIN FREE GINGERBREAD MEN! They are also made without Nuts or Eggs for those sensitive and can be customized depending on your preference.  Spice them up a little, decorate or leave bare, they are a true holiday staple.  Find the recipe HERE… Gingerbread Men Then we have the famous SPRITZ cookies which quite honestly I have never made in my life!!! But since so many of you had fond childhood memories of these, I HAD to try them out.  I am now the proud owner of a COOKIE PRESS was able to write this recipe HERE (which are also Nut free)… Paleo Spritz Cookies - Nut free Coincidentally while I was buying my cookie press, I also happened to come across this adorable candy cane cookie cutter (say that 3 times fast).  I HAD to have that too because my next idea was already brewing! If you are a peppermint fan, you must try these CANDY CANE COOKIES (Nut + Egg free). You can find the recipe HERE… Paleo Candy Cane Cookies Last but certainly not least are these absolutely delicious Mexican Wedding Cookies! These coincidentally have no fewer than 62 other names including but not limited to Sand Tarts, Russian Tea Cookies, Christmas Snowballs, Nut Butter Balls… I think you get the point.  They are egg free, grain free, and refined sugar free.  See how I get the “powdered sugar” effect HERE… mexican wedding cookies2 Thanks for baking with me! I am back to seaweed snackin’ now to make up for my lapse in judgment!

About

Jennifer is a wife and mother of 3 in pursuit of better health for her family.
After being gluten free for 4 years, and having a multitude of chronic health issues, she realized there was still too much processed “food” in her pantry and change was needed. Jennifer began feeding her family more meals from WHOLE foods and less from boxes. Her recipes are predominantly paleo, meaning they are free of grain, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, but make allowances for a few treats and sweets. She believes food can be medicine when used appropriately and that a few changes now can equate to huge benefits later. Healthy food does not need to be flavorless and void of personality, which she aims to accomplish through her many recipes.
