Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce
While I am pretty sure canned tomatoes are not ‘paleo’, they are mom and crockpot friendly, and in my opinion, a necessary evil on occasion. I love this pasta sauce because after browning the meat, you literally throw everything into the crockpot and have a delicious hearty sauce after a few hours. thumbs up for busy moms! I served this with cappello’s paleo pasta!!! But you can definitely serve it on top of my Sweet Potato Noodle recipe too!
ingredients:
- 1 pound organic ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 can organic petite diced tomatoes (15 oz)
- 1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 medium onion
- 3 garlic cloves chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons stevia or coconut sugar (or less to taste)
- Brown meat and onion in skillet
- Combine all other ingredients in crockpot
- Stir meat and onion into crockpot, stir ingredients
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours
